Higuain - Napoli v MarseilleNapoli striker Gonzalo Higuain has spoken of his ambition to bring silverware to the San Paolo following his summer move from Real Madrid.

The Argentine international has settled well in Naples since his €37.5 million transfer and has five goals and three assists in Serie A so far this season.

“I’m here to make history for this club,” the 25-year-old told a press conference ahead of Saturday’s match against Parma.

“I want to win for the people of Naples, to pay them back for the happiness they have given me since I arrived.”

The Partenopei are looking to get back on track after going into the international break with a 3-0 loss at Juventus.

“We know that we can’t make any mistakes against Parma,” Higuain continued.

“It is true that the championship is long, but we need to win so that we go to Dortmund with confidence.”

Napoli could also qualify for the knock-out stages of the Champions League with a draw at Borussia Dortmund next week.
