Inter are reportedly looking to strengthen their attack with Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez and could approach the Blaugrana for his services in the near future.

Now that the new majority owner of the Nerazzurri, Erick Thohir, has arrived in Italy, the Serie A side are expected to immediately start making moves in the transfer market and Sanchez could be one of their first signings.

According to Spanish sports paper As, the 24-year-old is one of Inter’s main targets for the January transfer window as they hope to give coach Walter Mazzarri a wider range of attacking players to work with.

Sanchez has been with Barcelona since joining them from Udinese in 2011 for a fee of around €26 million and has become a key fixture in the La Liga side’s front line, as he’s scored 27 goals in 63 league appearances for the club thus far, with seven goals coming in his nine appearances this season.
