Hellas Verona’s loan star Juan Iturbe has been turning heads this season, with Liverpool said to be readying a bid for the Argentinian.

The 20-year-old joined the Gialloblu on loan from FC Porto in summer and has scored twice already for the side.

Portuguese newspaper A Bola report that the Reds are willing to meet the €14 million price tag put on the forward’s head by his parent club.

The report also suggests that with Andrea Mandorlini’s side unlikely to be able to match the Dragões’ fee on their own, they might consider a co-ownership deal, with Inter or Barcelona their most likely options, should they wish to purchase Iturbe.

The young forward joined Porto from Paraguayan side Cerro Porteno in 2011, but has made only a handful of appearances for the Portuguese side. He was loaned to River Plate, back in his homeland, earlier this year before Hellas Verona brought him in on loan for the season.

Despite being born in Buenos Aires, he has played for both Paraguay and Argentina’s youth teams, most recently choosing to play for the Albicelestes’ Under 20 side, for whom he made ten appearances.
