Former Bologna man Gaston Ramirez of Southampton is being linked to a return to Serie A with either Inter or Fiorentina as possible destinations.
The Uruguayan who plays for English Premier League side Southampton has failed to make the eighteen man squad for the last two games.
With the World Cup looming and unable to cement a place in the squad, a move would be beneficial to the player hoping to make the Uruguay squad for Brazil 2014.
According to English newspaper The Sun the player has expressed a wish to leave and return to Serie A alerting both Inter and Fiorentina as to his availability.
Southampton would be hoping to try and recoup most of the €12 million they paid for the player in September 2012, he still has almost three years left on his current contract.
