Inter president Erick Thohir believes the coming months will be important for the Nerazzurri as he looks to plan the club’s transfer strategy for the January window.

The Indonesian owner arrived in Italy on Friday morning and stated that meetings will continue on Saturday after an intense first day back in Milan.

“The next six months will be important because we have a new structure and a new strategy,” he told fcinternews.it.

“It was a long day, we worked a lot and tomorrow will also be long.

“Our next signings? It will be a decision that the entire management will make because we must speak to the sporting director.

“Are we looking for a youngster or someone who is ready? It depends what the squad needs. We have a good mix of  young players and those who are already established but we will look around. There are still two months.

“How many signings? I don’t think the number is important. I think what the squad needs is more important. It is not a good signing if you sign a player and then he does not play.”
