Gianluca Zambrotta believes Pippo Inzaghi is more suited to becoming boss of AC Milan than Clarence Seedorf.

With current boss Massimiliano Allegri’s contract due to expire in 2014, and the poor performances he has conducted this season, both Inzaghi and Seedorf have been linked with the role.

“At this moment in time it will probably be left to Allegri to lead the side out of this situation,” the 2006 World Cup winner explained to RAI Sport.

“For the future, though, I think Inzaghi would be more prepared for the Coach role than Seedorf.”

Inzaghi is currently the boss of Milan’s Primavera youth team, with Seedorf still playing for Botafogo in Brazil.

Milan are 13th in Serie A and their troubled campaign continued last weekend with a 1-1 draw with Genoa.

“I think there is a lack of experience in the squad,” Zambrotta  added. “But I still think Allegri has control of the squad.

“This is a difficult moment for the team and they unfortunately can’t count on players such as Mattia De Sciglio and Stephan El Shaarawy, players who really helped last term.”
