AC Milan midfielder Riccardo Montolivo is pleased with his side’s progress over the past week.

The Rossoneri finally secured their first victories on the road both in continental competition against Celtic and then in league action against Catania Sunday afternoon and the captain was relieved to see things seemingly start to pick up for his struggling side, whilst also praising the influence of teammate Kaka.

“We’ve certainly made some good progress over the past month–obviously not enough as we still have quite a ways to go, but I feel that we’re on the right track,” the Italian international stated to Milan Channel.

“Kaka has made a huge difference, he’s a champion and it’s great that he’s back from his injury.

“As for me, I’m happy about scoring the first goal [to tie the game] and although it hasn’t been an easy week for us, we’re all calm and need to focus on doing a good job on the pitch.

“But, naturally, we certainly hope to continue like this and keep building upon these positive results.”
