AC Milan goalkeeper Gabriel could be sent out on loan in January in order to play regular first team football for the remainder of the season.

The 21-year-old has made seven appearances for the Rossoneri in the Serie A due to injuries to veterans Christian Abbiati and Marco Amelia, but it appears as though the club could allow him to leave in order to gain more experience.

Sportmediaset are reporting that Bologna are rumoured to be interested in taking the Brazilian on loan for six months before allowing the youngster to return to the Italian giants at the end of the season.

Gabriel joined the Milanese outfit during the 2012 summer transfer window before making his debut for the club this season. He kept a clean sheet on his debut in a man of the match performance against Udinese at the San Siro.
