AC Milan linked with move for young Bundesliga star

AC Milan are reportedly keeping tabs on Borussia Mönchengladbach youngster Granit Xhaka and could make a bid for him in January.

The Rossoneri have struggled this season and are said to be looking to strengthen their squad with the Swiss player being a key target.

According to MilanNews.it, €8.5 million could be enough to secure the services of the versatile midfielder.

Milan have struggled this season and currently sit eighth, 20 points behind leaders Juventus.

Xhaka had been previously linked to Milan last season and more recently, Lazio as well as Inter.

The 21-year-old joined Mönchengladbach in 2012 after signing from FC Basel and has already made 22 appearances for the Swiss national team, scoring four goals.

Xhaka currently has a contract with Mönchengladbach until 2017.

The former-Basel player has made 14 appearences for Mönchengladbach this season, starting all of them.
