AC Milan are looking to hold talks with Real Madrid for fullback Fabio Coentrao during the January transfer window.

The Portuguese international has reportedly asked coach Carlo Ancelotti to leave alerting a multitude of suitors.

According to mundodeportivo.com the Italian could look to offer Coentrao to his former club AC Milan.

The Rossoneri are reportedly open to the idea given the inconsistent performances of Urby Emanuelson and Kevin Constant this season.

Los Blancos could alternatively seek to loan the 25 year-old with Tottenham also showing interest in the Portuguese international.

Coentrao has played a total of 67 competitive matches for Real Madrid since arriving from Benfica in 2011.
