AC Milan remain keen on capturing Torino full-back Danilo D’Ambrosio in January, but may have to part with 22-year-old trequartista Riccardo Saponara in order to get their man.

While the talented former Italian Under-21 international has only been afforded a total of 99 minutes on the pitch so far this campaign, he could look elsewhere for more playing time, and the Granata are reportedly hoping to take advantage of his situation in Milanello.

According to La Stampa, Saponara is the key bargaining chip for a deal which would see the Diavolo beat Serie A rivals Roma to 25-year-old D’Ambrosio’s signature.

Toro’s sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has also always maintained an interest in ex-Juventus midfielder Antonio Nocerino, however, as his wages could be prohibitive, Genoa’s Francesco Lodi has been earmarked as a viable alternative.

AC Milan needs to buy it (this defender), not try to put one future prospect of the Italian football in the operation. I hope as a Milan fan the signatures of Hernanes, Nainggolan, Astori (Honda and Rami WELCOME) ForzaMilan!
