Palermo defender Salvatore Aronica believes that Napoli lack the winning mentality that Juventus have, which lessens their chances at winning a Scudetto.
The third place Partenopei are currently 10 points behind league leaders Juventus on the Serie A table and the 35-year-old admits that they may be unable to catch up by the end of the season.
Aronica spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss about the Azzurri’s setbacks this season and revealed which team he thinks will win the Scudetto at the end of the campaign.
“Napoli have had some setbacks against smaller teams, which could possibly be a psychological situation,” said the former Napoli man, who played at the club from 2008-13.
“However, they still played a good first half of the season, the balance is positive. At Napoli, they miss the winning mentality that Juventus have.
“[Rafa] Benitez wants to bring this mentality to Naples, but it’s going to take some work.
“Scudetto? I think the gap is unbridgeable. Juventus will win again this year.”
