Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin has opened the door to a possible departure from the Friulani after their 2-0 home defeat to Torino on Sunday.

The Zebrette have now lost three of their last four matches and the 58-year-old has stated that if he is the reason for the squad’s failures, he would have no problem in stepping down from his post.

“We must have continuity in our performances,” he told Sky Sport after the match.

“We must show the same spirit that those teams who are fighting have shown. This is our season, the season of a team that that must fight.

“Since I am a responsible person, if I think that I am the problem I will take a step back as I am capable of doing that.

“I don’t have a problem with anyone in particular. I am well here and I am loved which is why I suffer too much for the squad’s results and I don’t want to pass that on to the team.

“I have not yet spoken with the club.”
