Inter and Parma shared six goals in a 3-3 goalfest at San Siro on Sunday night in Serie A action.

The Crociati led twice, first through Nicola Sansone and then Marco Parolo but both those goals were cancelled out by Rodrigo Palacio and although Fredy Guarin put Inter ahead, Sansone’s second helped the Crociati to a point.

The first sight of goal fell to Palacio 30 yards from goal but his curler was always drifting to the left of Antonio Mirante’s post and wide.

A training ground corner then had the ball fall perfectly for Gabriel Paletta but his low shot was too central and saved by Samir Handanovic.

With 11 minutes on the clock, the always lively Sansone put his side ahead after collecting a Marco Marchionni inside the box, catching out Juan Jesus who was sitting far too deep, and stroking into the corner with aplomb.

Inter were extremely static and struggling to maintain position but did create an excellent chance shortly afterwards when Guarin drilled across goal where Palacio met the ball inside the six yard box but somehow fired over the top with the goal gaping.

Mateo Kovacic drilled one over the top from range as the Beneamata’s confidence grew but it was the Ducali who should have doubled their lead were it not for a fine block from Andrea Ranocchia to deny Afriyie Acquah from point blank range.

The equaliser duly arrived moments before the break though when another sensational Jonathan cross into the danger area was turned home by Palacio for the Argentine’s eighth goal in as many games.

However, there was one final twist before the break when Handanovic completely misjudged a speculative ball into the box and dropped the ball at the feet of Parolo who was rewarded for his run by prodding the ball home.

That lead lasted eight second half minutes Palacio headed a Ricky Alvarez cross into the back of the net with the help of the upright and two minutes after that, the Nerazzurri led.

The ever influential Palacio flicked the ball down for Guarin outside the box and his tame left strike took a horrid deflection off of Alessandro Lucarelli and into the back of the net.

Yet the madness continued at San Siro when Mattia Cassani got forward to send the ball in for Sansone and he turned the ball home to level the scores once more.

Kovacic blasted another one wide of the post as the pendulum continued to swing as Paletta volleyed over the top after easing past Hugo Campagnaro at the other end.

A great fingertip stop from Handanovic kept out Acquah and redeemed himself somewhat for his earlier error and the last chance of the game fell to Inter.

Saphir Taider flicked into the path of Esteban Cambiasso who blasted a volley at goal but was met by a strong save from Antonio Mirante as his side further frustrated Walter Mazzarri.
