Inter are reportedly lining up a move for Zenit St. Petersburg’s Domenico Criscito as a replacement for wingback Alvaro Pereira.

The 28-year-old Uruguayan international has been linked with a move away from San Siro this January, and the Nerazzurri have targeted the Italian left back as a potential signing for the second half of the campaign.

According to Sky Sport, Inter have made contact with the player in recent days as he is reportedly considering a move back to the Serie A.

With Pereira not central to Walter Mazzarri’s plans, his departure would open the door for Criscito to join the Nerazzurri.

Criscito started his career at Genoa before a stint at Juventus where he spent only one season before making a return to Rossoblu. He arrived at current club Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2011.
