Juventus are set to miss out on between €20-30 million after being knocked out of the Champions League group stage on Wednesday.

The Bianconeri were defeated 1-0 by Galatasaray in torrid conditions, a result that means they will now be forced to play in the Europa League knockout stage.

As a result ANSA reports that the Bianconeri are set to miss out on €20-30m that would have entered the club had they progressed through to the next round of Europe’s premier competition.

The club have already missed out on €3.5m that they would have received for making it through to the round of 16, while they will also miss out on matchday income, gate receipts and victory bonuses. The loss in TV revenue will likely be known at the end of the campaign.

Juventus can still recoup some of the losses with a deep run in the Europa League, whose final will be played at the Juventus Stadium on May 14, 2014.
