Alessandro Diamanti may still be on the shopping list of Juventus, as the Bianconeri look to strengthen their squad.

The Bologna ‘fantasista’ has endured a difficult start to the season with the Rossoblu, failing to hit the heights heĀ is capable of, having scored only three goals so far this season; fewer than midfield partner Panagiotis Kone.

The Corriere Di Bologna suggests that Friday night’s game between Bologna and the Bianconeri was an opportunity for Diamanti to show his ability again to a club who were interested in signing him over the summer, only to rebuffed by Felsinei coach Stefano Pioli.

Juventus won Friday’s match 2-0, though Diamanti was influential in Bologna’s performance.

The Prato-born playmaker spent much of his early career in the lower leagues, before moving to West Ham United. He made his debut for Italy in 2010 and has gone on to make seventeen appearances for the national side, scoring the winning penalty for the Azzurri in their Euro 2012 game against England.
