Roma are reportedly close to securing the services of Hellas Verona forward Juan Manuel Iturbe.

The 20-year-old, who’s currently on loan with the Mastini from Porto, may be making a move to the Giallorossi in June at the end of the current campaign, with an agreement supposedly already close to being finalised.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has been in serious talks with Pierpaolo Triulzi, an agent of the player, in recent days and could be on the verge of completing a deal that would see the Argentine make a permanent transfer to the capital city club by the start of the 2014-15 season.

Iturbe has scored three goals in his 12 Serie A appearances for Hellas Verona this season thus far.

He’s also scored five goals in his 16 total appearances for the Argentina Under-20 national team.
