Roma’s director Walter Sabatini has reportedly traveled to England for business related to the upcoming January transfer window.

It is believed that over the next few days Sabatini will hold talks with several Premier League clubs about player transactions to and away from the Olimpico.

According to Calciomercato.it, the Giallorossi director is interested in Everton’s central defender Johnny Heitinga and Tottenham’s midfielder Etienne Capoue, although Marco Parolo from Parma and Radja Nainggolan from Cagliari remain the Lupi’s primary winter targets.

Heitinga, a Dutch international, has expressed his readiness to leave the Toffees in hopes to find regular football ahead of next summer’s World Cup, while former Toulouse man Capoue has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League since his move to the London-based club in the summer.

Sabatini’s good relationships with Heitinga’s agent, who also represents the Giallorossi’s midfielder Kevin Strootman, and with Tottenham’s director Franco Baldini, with whom he worked at Roma before the latter left for the Spurs in the summer, could be crucial for the acquisition of the Dutchman and completing a loan deal for the 25-year old French international.

According to the reports, Sabatini will also meet representatives of Cardiff City, Southampton, and Fulham to discuss the future of Roma’s midfielder Michael Bradley. Another Giallorossi player whose future might be discussed during Sabatini’s trip is Marco Borriello, since some of the aforementioned clubs have previously shown interest in the Italian forward.
