Roma are reportedly preparing an offer for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Etienne Capoue.

The 25-year-old has only been with the Spurs since August, but some sources believe that he could already leave to the Giallorossi in January due to his relationship with coach Rudi Garcia, as the two know each other well from their time in Ligue 1.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are readying an offer of around €10 million for the French international and the Serie A club’s good rapport with Tottenham technical director Franco Baldini is expected to possibly help push the deal through.

Etienne Capoue joined the Lilywhites from French side Toulouse over the summer for a fee of around €11m and has only made four league appearances for the club thus far, as he’s been recovering from an ankle injury he sustained in early September.

The defensive midfielder has scored one goal in his seven appearances for France’s senior international team since his debut with them in 2012.
