Serie A club Udinese are planning to go after young Colombian winger Alexis Zapata in the January transfer window.

The 18-year-old winger plays for Colombian Categoria Primera A club Envigado, who finished 14th on the ladder this season.

According to sportmediaset.it, the Zebrette are planning to buy the youngster when the transfer window opens.

Zapata usually plays on the left-wing for the provincial Colombian side and he has come through the youth ranks of the club.

Envigado is a city situated about 10 km away from Medellin, which is the second-largest city in Colombia.

Udinese have been known for bringing Colombian footballers onto their roster in the last few seasons.

In previous years Cristian Zapata, Juan Cuadrado and Pablo Armero played for the Friulani and now Luis Muriel is Colombia’s sole representative at the club.
