Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio is apparently monitored by Fiorentina.
Fiorentina are looking to bolster their defence by signing the 22-year-old Argentinian defender.
According to La Nazione, Fiorentina consider Musacchio as a potential target next transfer window.
His contract only runs until June 2014, so Musacchio would be available in January for a reduced fee, or be able to negotiate a free transfer for the summer.
Musacchio is regarded as one of Europe’s best young defensive players and has been linked with Manchester United.
