Inter captain Javier Zanetti has spoken positively about new president Erick Thohir, stating that the Indonesian has clear ideas of where he wants to take the Nerazzurri in the future.
Thohir recently became the club’s new president and majority shareholder, ending Massimo Moratti’s 18 year term at the helm of the club.
Despite only becoming part of the Biscione family, Zanetti is confident he is the right man to take the club back to the top of Italian football.
“He [Thohir] is a president with very clear ideas,” Zanetti told RAI Sport.
“We hope that he will help Inter to return to the highest levels of competition.”
“We have a duty to give everything and we thank the fans for their unconditional support”.
Zanetti has only made a handful of appearances for Inter this season after recently returning from a six month absence due to an Achilles tendon injury.
