AC Milan have created some strict rules with regard to their transfer policy that limits overspending on players.

The Rossoneri have gone through some big management changes and now it looks like they’re introducing a spending cap.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport vice-president Adriano Galliani is required to consult others before making big moves.

The transfer guru is limited to spending under €25 million on a player unless he gains permission from Barbara Berlusconi.

‘Lady B’ as she is referred to in the media now has a say in matters at Milan as she intends to safeguard the club’s finances.

A player’s salary cannot exceed €10m a year with Zlatan Ibrahimovic the last to be paid such high figures at the club.

These rules are aimed at bringing down the amount spent annually on wages as it normally hovers around the €100m mark.

By introducing a wage cap the Rossoneri are taking steps to improving their finances but could struggle to attract the top players in the future.
