AC Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino is due to arrive in London on Friday for a medical with West Ham ahead of a possible loan move.
Nocerino is already believed to have said yes to the move and both clubs have agreed on the terms of the deal, meaning all that remains is for Nocerino to pass his medical.
According to Sky Sport Italia the deal could be completed by the weekend.
Nocerino has so far featured in eleven league games for Milan however new coach Clarence Seedorf has deemed him surplus to requirements.
West Ham are currently embroiled in a relegation battle and sit in 18th place.
