Bryan Cristante has admitted he was delighted to score his first goal in AC Milan’s 3-0 victory over Atalanta on Monday afternoon.

The Canadian midfielder made his first Serie A start and was a stand out performer along with Ricardo Kaka for the home side as they claimed their first win at the San Siro since October.

“We managed to win. We hope to recover,” he told Sky Sport Italia after the match.

“I got my goal and I am very happy with that.

“The shot? I tried it today and it went well. I am happy with my performance and I hope to build on this.”

He went on to comment on how he is not particularly fussy as to where he plays in the side.

“I am happy to play in midfield and in front of the defence. I am happy to adapt to whatever role the coach wants me to play.”
