AC Milan will reportedly offer soon to be new coach Clarence Seedorf a contract until 2016, according to reports.

The Dutchman is the front runner for the position after Massimiliano Allegri was sacked on Monday following the team’s 4-3 loss to Sassuolo.

Mediaset report that Seedorf will be offered a contract tying him to the club until 2016, and the Botafogo midfielder will sign it later in the week.

It will be Seedorf’s first coaching role, as he is currently still playing in the Brazilian Serie A with Botafogo.

Seedorf played for Milan between 2002 and 2012, and has also played for Real Madrid, Sampdoria, Inter and Ajax.
