Patrick De Koster, agent of Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, has revealed that the Juventus target would prefer a move to the Bundesliga if he decides to leave the Blues this winter.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Premier League side in recent months due to a lack of playing time and the Bianconeri have been watching him with hopes of possibly securing his services during the January transfer window, though it now seems they could be out of the running for the Belgian international.

Koster spoke to Press Association Sport about the youngster’s transfer situation and admitted that his client would prefer a transfer to a German club, ultimately ruling out a move to Juventus.

“I think going away on loan wouldn’t be good for the player or the club,” said the agent.

“The footballer and his family would prefer a permanent solution because he’s already been on loan twice.

“There’s the World Cup approaching and he needs to play more, so we’ll see if we can come to an agreement with Chelsea in the coming days.

“His preference would be a move to the Bundesliga.”
