Udinese captain Antonio Di Natale may serve as a board member either for the Zebrette or Empoli following his retirement.

Di Natale announced recently that he would say goodbye to football in next summer, though it appears the 36-year-old striker won’t be short of offers when it comes to the next stage in his career.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Udinese No.10 may become a director of his current club, where he has one and a half years left on his contract or he could be named as the vice-president of Empoli, the club he played for during his early years as a footballer.

Elsewhere, Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella has shown interest in signing Di Natale for six months due to the prolonged injuries of Giuseppe Rossi and Mario Gomez, while clubs in Dubai are also though to have offered him lucrative contracts to continue his playing career.

Joining the Zebrette in 2004, Di Natale has become one of the most prolific strikers in the club’s history and has won the Serie A Capocannoniere title twice.
