Hellas Verona set for busy deadline day

Hellas Verona look set to have their hands full as the transfer deadline approaches, as a raft of deals are trying to be completed.

Verona coach Andrea Mandorlini is urgently seeking recruitment’s for his injury depleted side, and has targeted a string of players that he and director Sean Sogliano will try and entice to the project.

Corriere di Verona report that Hellas are working on deals to bring in Manchester United’s Uruguayan defender Guillermo Varela, as well as Roma midfielder Marquinho and Siena attacker Niccolo Giannetti.

Hellas Verona are having an outstanding season after winning promotion from Serie B last season, as they sit in 8th place, just a point behind fifth placed Inter.

    Verona needs a trequartista or regista now that Jorginho has been sold. Marquinho is a good player and he is versatile but I don’t think he is the kind of player who can dictate the play.
