Inter have sent a final ultimatum to Premier League side Chelsea regarding their pursuit of Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin.

Jose Mourinho’s side have been linked with the former Porto man for a while now and the Nerazzurri are reportedly anxious to see negotiations reach a conclusion.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A side want to draw a line under the situation by January 14, or immediately after Inter – Chievo on Monday night, a game Guarin will not be available for due to suspension.

After that date the player will no longer be sold meaning the major winter sale could be that of defender Andrea Ranocchia.

The stall in Guarin’s transfer to the Blues is due to his wage demands, the Inter number 13 currently owns a net of €2.4 million a year however at Chelsea he would ask for €4 million, a request considered greedy by the English club.
