Juventus are facing competition from Valencia to secure the signature of in-demand Southampton striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo.

The English Premier League side are believed to be willing to allow their record signing to leave during this transfer window after he was suspended for two weeks following a fight with team-mate Jose Fonte at the club’s training ground last week.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Valencia have formally requested the loan of the 28-year-old Italy international until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Juve are thought to have initiated contact through intermediaries and will look to speed up negotiations if Mirko Vucinic is sold.

West Ham United have also been linked the former Roma forward, however Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has publicly stated that he will not be making any more new signings before the end of the January transfer window.
