Juventus have reportedly been taking steps forward in their pursuit of Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The 22-year-old hasn’t been given much of a chance in the Premier League side’s first-team squad under coach Jose Mourinho this season and the Bianconeri could be inching closer to scooping him up during the January transfer window.

According to Sport Mediaset, Juventus director general Beppe Marotta has paid a visit to the Blues during his recent trip to London and the two clubs have apparently began talks over the Belgian international.

It’s been reported that Chelsea are asking Juve to pay a fee of around €18 million for the player’s services, though the Serie A side are only thought to be looking for a six-month loan deal with option to buy at the end of the season.

De Bruyne has only made three Premier League appearances for the Blues this season thus far, with his last league appearance coming against Fulham back in September.

He is the type of player Juve should go for but I reckon Biabiany is a more realistic option. Then the Bianconeri can bring Domenico Berardi back in the summer.
