Kevin De Bruyne chelsea have reportedly been taking steps forward in their pursuit of midfielder .

The 22-year-old hasn’t been given much of a chance in the side’s first-team squad under coach this season and the Bianconeri could be inching closer to scooping him up during the January transfer window.

According to Sport Mediaset, Juventus director general has paid a visit to the Blues during his recent trip to London and the two clubs have apparently began talks over the Belgian international.

It’s been reported that Chelsea are asking Juve to pay a fee of around €18 million for the player’s services, though the side are only thought to be looking for a six-month loan deal with option to buy at the end of the season.

- Forza Italia! I'm an Italian-American writer hailing from New York and I love calcio. You could call me an extreme Azzurri supporter and when it comes to Serie A, I mainly support Napoli (with Roma coming in a close second), though I have a great appreciation for all of the Italian teams and their players. Some of my favourite players are Pablo Daniel Osvaldo, Antonio Di Natale, Mario Balotelli, Daniele De Rossi, Lorenzo Insigne, and Francesco Totti (of course). Notice anything they have in common? Outside of Italian football, I am a fan of Liverpool and the New York Red Bulls. Follow me on Twitter for a variety of interesting tweets: @beardedlegend
