Giuseppe Marotta, the Juventus director general, has met with Hellas Verona’s sporting director Sean Sogliano to discuss the possibility of a move for either Juan Iturbe or Jorginho.

Napoli are understood to be in pole position to secure the services of Jorginho, but the Bianconeri believe they may be able to bring Iturbe to the Juventus Stadium.

Reports in Tuttosport suggest that the Argentinian youngster has been courted by Roma, whose proposal would allow him to stay with the Mastini not just for the rest of this season, but the next as well in order to continue his development.

However, there is no agreement in place between the Giallorossi and Hellas so Marotta’s interest, although only in its early stages, may yet come to fruition.

Iturbe has had a hugely impressive season since joining the Mastini from FC Porto, scoring five goals in his twelve appearances so far, and helping the team up to sixth place in Serie A.
