Juventus is reportedly closing in on a deal which will send striker Mirko Vucinic on a six-month loan to Arsenal.

The clubs are said to have worked out the details of the arrangement and are now simply awaiting confirmation from the 30-year old Montenegrin to finalize the deal.

Tuttosport is reporting Vucinic is considering his options and could fly out to London as early as Thursday for a medical exam.

Speculation has surrounded the striker since a failed swap deal last week which would’ve sent Vucinic to Inter in exchange for Fredy Guarin was scrapped by Inter.

Vucinic’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, was interviewed by Sky Sport Italia and said his client spoke with Juventus coach Antonio Conte. Lucci said, “They have agreed he will train apart [from the rest of the squad] in these last days of the transfer market because he is involved in some possible negotiations.”

After making 53 Serie A starts for the Old Lady in the last two seasons, Vucinic has seen his playing time seriously reduced this campaign with the success of Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez leading the Juventus front line. Vucinic has made four Serie A starts and scored two goals.

If the Montenegrin does join Arsenal, it may point the way toward Juventus bringing Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo back to Italy.
