Lazio could be considering a move for Manchester City midfielder Javi Garcia upon the possible departure of Hernanes before the end of the January transfer window.

Hernanes has been linked with a move away from the Biancocelesti in recent weeks, with clubs including Manchester United and Liverpool supposedly being interested in acquiring the player, and the capital city club might have already found a replacement in the City man.

According to Sports Direct News, the 26-year-old Spanish international may also be open to a Lazio move due to the lack of space in the Premier League side’s starting line up, as 10 of his 17 league appearances with the team this season have come as substitutions.

Javi Garcia joined Manchester City from Benfica for a fee of around €19 million in 2012 and has scored a total of two goals in his 41 league appearances for the club thus far.

The midfielder has just two appearances with the senior Spanish national team since making his debut with them in 2012.
