Lazio’s Colombian striker Bryan Perea has ruled out a loan move away from the club this January, preferring to fight for his place in the team.

The 20 year old scored a brace to help knock Parma out of the Coppa Italia last week, but was an unused substitute in the thrilling 3-2 win over Udinese on the weekend.

“A loan move away? No, I am very calm and I will respect whatever decision the club makes but for the moment I prefer to continue working here.” Perea told Colombian radio station Caracol.

“I have to be honest , I’ve settled very quickly in Italy. Already in the four or five months that I’m here, the staff and my teammates have given me a big hand to acclimatize as quickly as possible.

“Now my main goal is to have more continuity and maybe score more goals in the future to help Lazio to become even bigger, being able to get to a major tournament like the Champions League.

“Today we are in the Europa League and we hope to get as far forward as possible because we have a group that has the quality to win it.”

Perea has netted once in 11 Serie A appearances this term.
