Leeds United close to signing Hellas Verona striker

English Championship side Leeds United are steps away from acquiring Hellas Verona striker Daniele Cacia.

Leeds are close to being taken over by current Cagliari owner Massimo Cellino, with coach Brian McDermott getting the sack today.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, both parties are meeting at the hotal finalising the deal.

The 30-year-old forward has struggled since the Gialloblu’s Serie A promotion, with no goals in 10 appearances.

Cacia had 24 goals in 25 games in Serie B last season.
