Ligue 1 outfit Marseille have admitted that they are hoping to sign Inter wide man Alvaro Pereira although may wait until the summer to do so.
No longer guaranteed a starting berth at San Siro, the 28-year-old has been linked with moves away to Marseille and Tottenham Hotspur among others.
President of the French outfit Vincent Labrune, confirmed this to RMC: “He is a player that we like and are interested in although perhaps more for the summer than for January.
“We have little money available at the moment and cannot do so much on the market at this time although we are working to solve this problem perhaps if someone leaves.”
The Uruguayan international has started just two games in Serie A this season under Walter Mazzarri.
