Daniel Agger LiverpoolNapoli are seemingly looking more than determined to step up their chase for Liverpool’s Daniel Agger during the January transfer window.

A move to Naples would see the 29-year-old reunited with Rafael Benitez after their time together at Anfield. Moreover, with the departure of Paolo Cannavaro looking highly likely, the Partenopei need a viable replacement.

Though it was only recently that Brendan spoke to the club’s owner about securing the Agger’s future,  Il Mattino reports that Napoli Sporting Director Riccardo Bigon is adamant on not giving up their pursuit.

It is also rumoured that Liverpool are demanding a sum of  €14 million, if they are going to sell the Denmark international, who has been at the Merseyside club since 2006 amassing more than 150 appearances.

The other alternative Napoli have is Marseille’s 23-year-old defender Nicolas Nkoulou, who would cost them around €11m.
