Lazio defender Michaël Ciani may be on his way to Norwich City as the Biancocelesti look to free up funds to improve their defence.

The Frenchman has fallen out of favour at the Stadio Olimpico, playing only thirteen times so far this season, and coach Edy Reja would be happy to allow him to move on.

Reports in the Corriere dello Sport suggest the English side would be willing to offer the former Bordeaux man a two and a half year deal to take him to Carrow Road.

The deal would reportedly be worth €2.5 million to Lazio, , which would allow Reja some leeway to bring in one of the targets he has identified to improve his defence.

Having joined Lazio in August 2012, Ciani has made thirty one appearances for the Aquile, scoring a solitary goal. He is a French International, playing a single game for Les Bleus – a friendly against Spain in 2010.
