Roma are reportedly preparing an offer for Parma midfielder Marco Parolo this winter.

The 28-year-old has been very impressive on the pitch this season, as he has six goals in his 16 Serie A appearances thus far, and his talents have caught the eye of Giallorossi sporting director Walter Sabatini, who is apparently interested in signing him this month.

According to the Corriere della Sera, Roma are readying a bid of around €2.5 million for a 50 per cent share in the player and could be willing to offer young defender Alessio Romagnoli as part of the deal as well.

Parolo arrived at Parma from Cesena in 2012 and has scored a total of nine goals in his 52 league appearances for the club thus far.

The midfielder has just two appearances with the senior Italy national team since making his debut with them in 2011 and is hoping to prove himself worthy of a call up to the Azzurri squad for the World Cup in Brazil this summer.
