Sampdoria have confirmed the departure of Enzo Maresca to Serie B outfit Palermo, who will join this month to help their quest to return to top flight football.
The Bluerchiati sporting director Carlo Osti has stated that the 33-year-old will sign for the Sicilian side, after the midfielder spent 18 months in Genoa.
“Enzo Maresca is a Palermo player,” he told genoasamp.com. “There were no difficulties in completing this deal.
“He’ll go to Sicily outright.”
Maresca has only made one appearance for the Bluerchiati, and that was coming on as a substations in a Serie A game.
