Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva has admitted that he hopes to make a return to playing in Serie A in the future.

The former AC Milan player, 29, was present at the Ballon d’Or awards ceremony in Zurich as he was named to the Fifa World Team of the year.

“I gave my vote to Messi.” he said at the awards ceremony.

He then went on to discuss Milan.

“I heard that he [Allegri] has gone. I saw the game at 2-0 and then fell asleep,  and when I woke up I heard about the 4-3 defeat,” the Brazilian commented.

“Seedorf is a great and serious person, if he arrives he will change the mentality of the players.

“I feel sorry about the situation, both Ibrahimovic and me left and it changed the club, but big players have arrived since, like Honda.”

Silva also admitted he is open to a move back to Serie A in the future.

“I miss Italian football because I watched the league from my childhood,” he stated.

“I now play in a different and more physical league but I am still happy, however I hope to return to Italy and play in Serie A again.”
