According to reports in England Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur could be considering a move for Juventus’ Claudio Marchisio as new manager Tim Sherwood looks to stamp his mark on the team.

Since taking over from Andre Villas-Boas in mid-December the former Blackburn midfielder has overseen their league revival, recently defeating reigning champions Manchester United at Old Trafford but is still looking to add to the Londoners squad.

According to the Daily Mirror he has identified the Italian international to provide greater quality to a midfield that had struggled at times this season as they look to secure a Champions League place for next term.

The 28-year-old has featured 15 times this for the Bianconeri in Serie A and scored one goal and remains an integral part of Antonio Conte’s side therefore a significant offer from the Premier League club would be required.
