eduardo vargas - napoliNew Valencia coach Juan Antonio Pizzi has confirmed that Napoli attacker Edu Vargas is one of the Spanish side’s January transfer targets.

The former San Lorenzo coach admitted that Vargas, who is currently on loan from the Partenopei with Brazilian side Grêmio, would be an ideal reinforcement.

“It’s not easy to find players who can unsettle opponents so well and we already know of Vargas, who needs to compete so he can go to the World Cup and will be looking for solutions if he’s not playing,” 45-year-old tactician told Deporte Valenciano.

“Now it seems he’s doing that more and we’ll have to see in what conditions he can be considered as a good reinforcement.”

“I’ve said it before but I have to admit, we need more alternatives in attack.”

According to fichajes.com, the Chile international was already being monitored by Los Che before he signed for Napoli in January 2012.
