Viareggio Cup 2014 Groups Drawn

The draw for the 2014 Viareggio Cup has been made.

The tournament, also known as Coppa Carnevale, it’s a notable youth football competition held in Viareggio, Italy, since 1948, and one of the most prestigious youth football tournaments in the world. This edition is scheduled from 3 to 17 February.

CGC Viareggio, the sports club who owns the tournament, guaranteed the presence of several prestigious foreign clubs such as Anderlecht, Benfica and South American sides Guaranì and Santos.

The draw for the eight groups for took place on Friday with Juventus, Inter, Fiorentina and AC Milan taking part from the second round of the competition.

Group 1: Atalanta, Nordsjaelland, Representatives of Serie D, Club Guaranì
Group 2: Napoli, Anderlecht, Palermo, APIA Leichhardt
Group 3: Roma, Benfica, Livorno, Envigado
Group 4: Torino, Stabaek, Siena, Santos Laguna
Group 5: Sampdoria, Rijeka, Reggina, Under 17 Congo
Group 6: Lazio, Belasica Strumica, Varese, Club Nacional
Group 7: Empoli, PSV Eindhoven, Verona, LIAC New York
Group 8: Parma, Pakhtakor, Spezia, Desportivo Brasil
