AC Milan coach eyes summer clear out

Recently appointed AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf is prepared to let key first team players leave come June.

The Dutchman is already considering bringing in reinforcements with Botafogo’s Doria among his main priorities.

According to Tuttosport, the 36 year-old will let both Kevin Constant and Ignazio Abate leave in the summer.

The Guinean’s fate was made apparent by Milan’s attempts to offload him in January while Abate is out of contract.

Seedorf has already decided Mattia De Sciglio will be his first choice right-back over his Italian counterpart.

Constant is likely to see much less playing time in the second half of the season as he’s simply not in the club’s plans.

Milan will begin searching for a left-back as Seedorf seems unprepared to play De Sciglio in the unfamiliar left-back position.

How can you let abate leave. Are u kidding me? That is a big mistake. Between juve and Napoli this player will be gone in a heart beat. Hope you change your mind sedorf otherwise will follow him pretty soon

  2. Wouldn’t mind losing abate as long as we replace him with criscito or santon

  3. Colin Ortega says:

De Sciglio is the best young right back in the world. It would be expected to let abate go and get a lot of money for him because abate is a great right back as well. By selling constant and abate we can use that money to buy a quality left back

I agree I wouldn’t mind letting Abate leave if Milan replace him with Criscito or Santon and bring in Doria. Build a young backline with De Sciglio Doria Santon ages 20 21 & 22 I believe.. I prefer Criscito over Santon. Keep Rami have Urby and Zapata on the bench. Sell Mexes Constant Abate get rid of Zaccardo Bonera and maybe if the option to buy is cheap keep Silvestre

  5. Di aji says:

How can one even think of selling abate, he deserves his position in milan & far far better than de sciglio. As for kevin contant, he’s of no use at the moment so i wouldnt mind if he lives.

Is Bonera part of Seedorf’s plan? Cos I don’t what the guy is still doing with the Red and Black jersy

I am not sure if everyone is aware of the Milan program for the past 5 years and on going to at least another 5. It all started with Kaka’s sale when Milan’s home boy was sold paving the way for Inter to take over. The Policy that suggests to sell high and buy for free.
Any good talent out there must only come to Milan who will be without any European hopes next season is either they are undiscovered South Americans willing to come over for almost nothing or players that are without contract because they are unwanted.
Milan should offload Robinho, Constant, Bonera, Urby, Mexes, Abiatti, Coppola, Zaccardo to start with in hopes to make room for three or four other players only and slowly shrink the roster to only high talented players who will carry the team to where it belongs.

Ac Milan need to buy a better goalkeeper and build a better defense line
