Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has admitted that he could consider coaching former club Inter in the future, though he’s focused on his current job for now.

The Rojiblancos are preparing for their first leg round of 16 Champions League match against AC Milan at the San Siro on Wednesday and the 43-year-old insists that he’s only concentrated on the challenge of overcoming the Rossoneri.

Simeone spoke during his pre-match press conference on Tuesday and reflected on his time as a Nerazzurri player, while also commenting on the possibility of him taking up a job with his former team.

“I had two great years in Milan with Inter and left many friends, but what I feel for them counts very little right now,” said the tactician, who played for the Biscione from 1997-99.

“Tomorrow will certainly be a great challenge for my players and I’m totally focused on what will happen tomorrow.

“However, we’ll see what happens in the future.”
